Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Sift, a macOS application. By downloading, installing, or using Sift, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
License
Sift Pro is a one-time purchase that grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal or commercial work. A purchased license may be activated on the number of Macs shown at checkout; you can deactivate a machine to free a slot. The license is for your own use and may not be resold, sublicensed, or redistributed.
Free trial
Sift includes a 7-day free trial with no payment method required. When the trial ends, a license is required to continue using the app. We don't auto-charge you — there's no card on file during the trial.
Payments & refunds
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record, which handles billing, taxes, and receipts. If Sift isn't for you, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund. Refunds are handled through Lemon Squeezy.
Updates
A Pro license includes updates within the 1.x series at no extra cost. Future major versions may be offered as separate upgrades.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to circumvent licensing, reverse-engineer the app to redistribute it, or use it to violate the law. Sift inspects data you already have access to; you're responsible for having the right to inspect whatever you paste into it.
No warranty
Sift is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While Sift's deterministic core aims to be accurate, do not rely on it as the sole basis for security, financial, legal, or other critical decisions — always verify independently. The AI-generated explanations are summaries and may be incomplete or, in some cases, unavailable.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sift and its author are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
